Audacity is a free, open-source, and very easy-to-use audio editing software. It is capable of performing almost all basic edits. It helped me a lot while mixing songs for our school and college fests.

I have been using Audacity for the past few years. I use it for recording and editing audio files, and creating commercials. Changing audio file formats, such as converting mp3 to wav, is easy with this tool. I love it.

Audacity is free audio editing software with full basic features. It is easy to use and best suited for podcasts and vocals. There are many tutorials on how to use this software. I personally recommend it for basic audio editing.
