We’re fortunate to have interviewed Mr. Ashvin Gami, the Co-Founder, and M.D. of IT Aakash Strategic Software Pvt. Ltd., and know about his mission, vision, and journey to success.

A warm welcome from SoftwareSuggest, Mr. Ashvin Gami. What is your success mantra? Something you have followed personally that has helped you in your journey.

As long as you are passionate about what you do, you will achieve success in life. I was highly inspired by my peers at IIT Bombay and especially admired their gumption to contribute to the nation in some way.

When we began developing various Java-based technologies, we faced many challenges on quality but never gave up. Eventually, it led to the innovation of StrategicERP, which is a low code/no-code platform. Even today, our goal while developing the ERP solution remains the same: to deliver quality development in minimum time.

We always focus on the challenges faced by our customers. Be it construction ERP, real estate or infrastructure, we upgrade our software accordingly. This problem-solving-based development strategy allows us to remain a customer-centric and industry-relevant ERP solution provider.

How has ITAakash Strategic Software (p) Ltd equipped itself to deal with the Covid-19 situation better?

We have not only been developing and delivering business automation ERP systems to clients but have been using them ourselves.

The transition for us, to a work-from-home environment, was not difficult as our workforce was already working on the StrategicERP system. Our team has developed and delivered many customized ERP suites to clients remotely, successfully completing the implementation and go-live phases during a raging pandemic. We adopt a zero paper strategy which makes all information available in ERP.

Our clients have adapted to the new normal and have been connecting with us more online.

Riding this new wave of a push for technology, spurred on by the pandemic, we have recently launched the latest version of our software, StrategicERP 22.1, with multiple integration options for third-party applications and devices to create an open and collaborative workspace.

Our readers are keen to know what prompted you to create ITAakash Strategic Software (p) Ltd? Tell us about your journey so far.

After having developed 8-9 products for internet security, mail solutions, and various enterprise-related security solutions. We were approached by a customer in 2007 for an automation project.

We created a Java-based web application for them, which then brought us an additional 6-7 projects for automation. This created challenges on quality and speed of development. So, in 2008, we started working on the initial idea of autonomous programming that is now StrategicERP.

Shortly after, our first client from the real estate industry approached us with the need to automate their business processes. Various ERPs had already failed in their organization before us due to the rigid nature of standard ERP solutions. We showed that an ERP solution on the StrategicERP framework was the perfect fit, and we worked hard to deliver the solution successfully.

This began our foray into the real estate sector, and 17 years on, we have created industry-specific software for infrastructure, construction, manufacturing, power, and energy sectors.

Which features are most valuable in ITAakash Strategic Software (p) Ltd?

Client satisfaction is a major part of our product development strategy. Keeping that in mind, we are continuously upgrading our software to meet the needs of our clients. Some recent features that I am sure our clients will find valuable are:

Where do you see ITAakash Strategic Software (p) Ltd to greater heights in the next 5 years?

Our company is dedicated to the progress of real estate, construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, energy, and power sectors, including government enterprises. We innovate to equip our 700 customers with the tools to become efficient and adaptive with digital, logical, and AI transformations.

The real estate and construction industry is set to witness more digital transformations in the next 5 years. This is just the beginning. Industries will look for customized ERP and CRM solutions integrated with the latest technologies.

Our vision for the future is to build a satisfied and digitally empowered client base of more than 5000 organizations and become a publicly listed ERP organization by the year 2025.

Are there any ideological principles that your organization follows to maintain the brand value?

A solutions-oriented approach keeps our ERP software relevant and highly specific for the industry it is developed for.

Focusing on our client’s journey right from our first interaction to post-sales support drives brand loyalty and has even been appreciated by our clients.

What is your advice to young entrepreneurs?

A lot of talent is available in our country. Still, unless we provide opportunities to harness it to be utilized in the right direction, we cannot showcase our full potential.
