Found in 2016, it can be interfaced with an elegant and intelligent web and mobile CRM application, which can be accessed using Software as a Service (SaaS) model. RapidOps is their long term product development partner, which has helped them along their journey of creating such an in-the-demand software.

Q1. What according to you are the major pillars on which ‘Salesmate’ stands?

  1. More happiness and satisfaction for customers
  2. Less headache for Sales Reps
  3. Product Innovation

Q2. How did you hit upon the idea for your Company?

As a digital product development company, we have delivered so many successful products in past nine years, which have touched the lives of millions.  This time we wanted to build some product for ourselves, and having an enjoyable experience in CRM domain for last many years, we thought to study this area further.

We found that traditional CRM systems were just data dumping tools and sales people were uncomfortable using them, And so, originated the idea of developing an intuitive CRM system that will allow ease of use and will reduce the unnecessary manual labor for the sales people. We feel proud that we have developed Salesmate which is one of a kind CRM system that lessens the pain for of your sales team by providing detailed insights and helps them in increasing their overall sales efficiency.

Q3. How do you differentiate yourself from your competitors?

Simplicity and automation are the two most important points, where we try to differentiate ourselves from our competitors. When we started building this CRM, we received negative comments such as; this product will not work as the market is too saturated and it has a tremendous amount of competition.  However, the number of appreciation emails from our satisfied clientele tells us that we have given them the software that they were looking for in this saturated market, and trust me it makes us pretty happy. You will be surprised to know that many of our clients have switched from the big names who rule this market!

Q4. How have sales evolved since you first got into the business? What hasn’t changed?

We started building CRM based on market needs, and then we invested massive amounts in driving customers to our website and understood their usage patterns and business requirements. Keeping a close eye on our user’s interactions and their feedback has given us the precious lead of building an even better system. We are also using our own product every day to handle our complete sales cycle using Salesmate. With all this, we are evolving every day by covering every aspect of the business.

Taking continuous feedback and suggestions from clients has not changed. Even if they are happy with our system, we do not miss any chance of reaching out to them for any suggestions on our system’s improvement.

Q5. Would you rather be respected or feared?

Respected Indeed. However, I feel that fear and respect can go hand in hand. Moreover, situation decides which factor will drive better results.

Q6. Think of something you have done in the past; what would you have done differently?

Started creating this system a few years before for our loving customers 😉

Q7. How do you approach a decision where people disagree with you?

If people do not fight or disagree with you, then you are not making something great. People do not agree with you when they cannot understand your ideas or vision. I try to keep myself calm and don’t take anything personally. I try to explain my thoughts and don’t feel shy in revealing someone that their argument is baseless or accepting that their process of reflection is better than mine. After all, lessons of being a better entrepreneur can come from anywhere; you just need to be mindful of your surroundings.

Q8. What do you expect to see over the next 5 to 10 years in the Industry?

Voice enabled systems, and machine learning (AI) is surely going to change the game.

Q9. What are your experiences with highs and lows at Salesmate?

In Salesmate, we have not gotten much of low moments, but during the overall journey of entrepreneurship, I have found that having low moments bring you closer to your team and you come to know about their true character and grit. It just makes you stronger and gives you lessons for a lifetime.

Lastly, we would be glad to have your valuable suggestion for the new Entrepreneurs coming up in the industry today.

  1. Don’t follow anyone’s business model or advice blindly. Things which might have worked for me, will not provide any guarantee to work for you.
  2. Nowadays entrepreneurs come with the mindset of build fast and fail fast. However, don’t take it literally. Entrepreneurship requires passion and persistence for a success.
