No internet connection required

The best thing of BT Attendance mobile app is that you don’t need internet connection on your mobile phone while taking class attendance. You also don’t require internet connection on your mobile phone while managing classes and students in this attendance app. You can sync your data later when there is internet connection available on your mobile phone.

Taking attendance is very simple
To take attendance of a class, just select the class name, a list of students (with their roll numbers and names) of that class will appear in front of you in your mobile attendance app. Just keep clicking on the student names who are absent and then finally submit the attendance. You can also edit this attendance later.

Attendance screen is shown in the screenshot. On top of the screen, it contains class name and date of attendance. Then, it displays the list of students (with their roll numbers and names) of that class. While taking the attendance, you just click on the student name who is absent. Whenever you click on the student name, “A” letter (which denotes the absent) in RED color will appear against the absent student name. His / her roll number will also be added in the absentees list at the bottom of the screen. Once you are done with the attendance, just press the “Submit” button. Your attendance will get saved.

No internet connection is required to use this feature.

Send SMS to absentees
After submitting the attendance, you can also send the SMS to the students whom you marked absent by just pressing a button. For this, you need internet connection available on your mobile phone at the time of sending SMS to absentees.

As shown in the screenshot, after submitting the attendance you will be asked whether you want to send SMS to the absentees or not. If you press “Yes”, SMS will be sent to all the absentees. If you press “No”, no SMS will be sent.

To use this feature, you should have internet connection enabled on your mobile phone.

Calculate attendance within a second

Now you don’t need to manually calculate the total attendance and percentage of attendance of each student of the class. This mobile attendance app does it for you within a second. With a single click, this mobile attendance app shows you all the data like how many classes / lectures have been taken till now for a class, what is the total attendance and attendance percentage of each student of that class etc.

First screenshot shows the attendance taken by the teacher / professor. It shows the class name and total classes taken within the selected date range. List of all the absentees against the attendance date is displayed. You can notice that the absentees list is in BOLD for 12-5-2017 (Fri). It is because this attendance was modified. All the modified attendances are displayed in BOLD.

Second screenshot lists students (with roll numbers and names), total attendance and attendance percentage. So, now teachers and professor don’t need to manually calculate the attendance for each student. Just open this screen and everything is ready for you. You can also sort the list roll number wise, student name wise, attendance count wise and attendance percentage wise.

Third screenshot shows the list of dates on which the student was absent.

Email attendance to yourself

You can also maintain the hard copy of the attendance data which is there on your mobile attendance app. BT Attendance mobile app lets you to email all the data like student details and attendance detail to yourself on your registered email address. All the data will be emailed to you in a PDF format and later you can print it. In this way, you can also maintain a hard copy of your data. You can also forward this email / PDF to your principal / HOD for auditing and monitoring purposes.

In the above screenshots, you can see at the bottom of the screens there is option for emailing the list of students and attendance. When you click on it, an email will be sent to your registered email address containing the list as a PDF attachment.

To use this feature, you should have internet connection enabled on your mobile phone.

Backup / Restore Attendance Data

Today, if you misplace your physical attendance register, everything is gone. But, now this mobile attendance app is providing you the solution for that. This mobile attendance app lets you maintain attendance data on your mobile. But, there may be many instances when you can lose data on your mobile phone like your mobile phone gets damaged or stolen, memory issues, storage space issues, accidently deleting / formatting of mobile data, accidently uninstalling the app etc. So, it is advisable to keep backing up your data on our servers so that if this kind of incident happens to you, you can always restore your data. In this way, you will never lose your attendance.

As shown in the screenshot, if you press "Backup" button, all the data which has been added / modified by you, will be backed up on the server. By pressing "Restore" button, you can download all your data to your mobile phone from the server and then continue working without internet connection.
