I love how I am able to have my lesson plans, student information, grades, and emails in one place. As a former public school educator, I used to use another platform for grades, and we had to use a separate program for lesson plans. It used to be so time-consuming and frustrating trying to toggle and remember different logins and passwords. I love being able to communicate with parents for all of my classes separately and/or as a group. The best part is that I can keep my administrators in the loop so that they are aware of what I am communicating to the parents.

Overall, Gradelink brought us out of our spreadsheet era and into a managed database for our students. Some of the features are a little hard to find, and the financial aspect and the app still need a lot of work. We are generally happy with Gradelink.

Communication with our families has been tremendously simplified. We now have all student information in one place, so any administrator can access it.
What do you dislike about Gradelink?
Maybe just some UI improvements to make things look simpler and more intuitive.
What features is Gradelink currently missing?
Some API interaction with QuickBooks would be great, just for transactional details, not for actual money transfers. Gradelink just isn't bookkeeping software and it would be great if it could talk to something other than PaySimple.

Overall, good. Some reports have required a little work, but customer service is pretty good about helping out—quick one-stop shopping for information when needed. Sometimes GL has gone down, but usually only for brief intervals.

What do you like best about Gradelink?
Gradelink is easy to use and has many useful features. We used to do transcripts manually, and now, with Gradelink, we can produce quality-looking transcripts with a few simple steps. The EnrollMe feature has saved us so much time during the enrollment process. Several of us in the office can work with EnrollMe features and not rely on one person with the spreadsheet! A feature we use every day is Smart Send. Our primary means of communication with parents is through email. Gradelink makes it easy to send email, text, and phone messages to our parents. We were able to alert parents quickly about a Shelter in Place that was issued and keep them up-to-date with progress. This feature has been a true blessing!

I have used Gradelink for the last eight years in my teaching job. This software makes keeping track of assignments and grades a breeze. There are many options for calculating grades and creating reports. It also serves as a communication tool for reaching parents individually, by grade, or by cohort. It is effortless to navigate and understand. Any issues are resolved quickly with a call to customer support.

Our school has been using Gradelink for quite a few years now, and it keeps improving. It is so nice not to have to sit and calculate grades manually at the end of each grading period. If anyone is missing assignments and I have used the IC for that assignment, it's easy to print out whatever tasks are skipped. I also like how the parents and students can keep track of how they are doing and how parents can set up automatic emails for specific grades—both good and not-so-good ones. If I need to contact a parent, I can easily do it through Gradelink.

What do you dislike about Gradelink?
It would be nice if, when the attendance is done initially in homeroom, other teachers could see who was absent or may be in later on their individual class attendance page for that subject. Our secretary puts notes in, but we dont see that on the attendance page—we can only see it if we go to the grading page.

The attendance notes -- it would be nice if notes put in by the secretary could show up on each individual class when we go to fill out attendance.

We implemented GradeLink two years ago in our school, and it has been a handy tool. Not only for grades and calendar management, but it has allowed parents to have a clearer picture of what is going on with their child's progress. It has also helped us internally pull up various reports exceptionally quickly and efficiently. When it is necessary to contact GradeLink for assistance, they have been quick to respond and assist.

I love Gradelink because it is an all-in-one program! My attendance, lunch count, IEP, and student files are all in one place. My staff likes Gradelink because they can easily communicate with parents through email, check attendance records, and do their lesson planning all with one program. The administrative assistants particularly like that they can pull up the lunch count for the entire school and store student information digitally. Our school thinks it is a great program.

Gradelink is so easy to use. I accessed the introductory videos and tutorials and was using the program in no time. Every time I had a question, I was able to find an answer through a video provided by Gradelink.
What do you dislike about Gradelink?
One aspect that I think could be improved is allowing non-administrative staff to have the option to text parents and families. I would also like the option to type out a phone message rather than speak it.

I wish there were a feature that automatically called, texted, and emailed parents when students have an unexcused absence.

This program is very user-friendly. It has many videos to support whatever your needs are. The program looks pretty intuitive. I like the safety features that are built-in to help prevent mistakes. I also like that spellcheck is included when writing comments.

It is easy to input grades daily and email an entire class of students or individual students. Likewise, it is easy to pull up progress reports with the exact information you need (grades, attendance, individual assignments, etc.). My only difficulty is that individual reports on students, such as graphing student progress or combining them into groups, are not user-friendly.

What I find most impressive about Gradelink is the ease of entering grades for progress reports, report cards, and attendance.

It would be very beneficial when teachers conclude a semester and for some unforeseen reason need to add one more grade that we could unconclude the subject ourselves instead of having admin do it.

Since I teach 12 classes across 5 different grades, Gradelink allows me to quickly and efficiently track my students' attendance. At a glance, I can follow up with the administrator to determine if the absences are genuine or if someone is cutting class.

Gradelink is the fifth online grade book software I have used and is by far the best! It is incredibly user-friendly, and I wouldn't want to use anything else. It's easy for teachers to use, and parents love the app that goes with it.
