Literally free, no ads, no hidden fees

What's most impressive about HelpWire is its commercial use at no cost. It appears to be funded by their trusted parent company, which alleviates any concerns about security. They claim to introduce pricing plans in the future, once the product becomes more competitive, which sounds reasonable. It's uncertain if we'll continue using it once there's a price tag, but until then, it's our go-to solution for remote control.

Simple and free remote access solution

The value of the product highly depends on your usage scenario. It is perfect for freelancers, technical specialists, or small remote support-oriented businesses. It's free, has all the necessary basic functionality and even slightly more. Also, it's fast and reliable. We have used it since the official release and never faced a connection drop, which occasionally occurred with Zoho and other alternatives. However, for larger teams, the lack of advanced features will be more noticeable.

The most impressive aspect is not even the absent price of the product, but its reliability. The connection is fast and stable for both local network and internet access.

What do you dislike about HelpWire?

It has basics, but it will surely benefit from more advanced features in almost every aspect. Looking at their roadmap, however, it seems we can expect those in future upgrades.

What features is HelpWire currently missing?

As I said in the main review, it solely depends on the usage scenario. Larger teams may benefit from reporting functionality, access control features, roles, contact sharing, etc. Also, integration with helpdesk or team management tools would be apprciated.

Free and fast, though quite basic

It was a great decision by the developers to make the service free of charge. While it obviously lacks many of TeamViewer's or AnyDesk's advanced functionalities, the free model definitely seals the deal. The service is incredibly smooth, the remote connection is stable, and the session initiation is intuitive and simple. It's the best choice for occasional remote support sessions if you are short on budget.
