One of the big things that is missing is project and resource planning. Atlassian provides a rich set of basic functionality.

Great application for maintaining project related documents and progress

With the help of Jira it has become so easier to do and maintain reports, specially for the leadership team members to show them the progress. It is so easy now to filter issues, tasks, requests, bugs, based on labels and filters. I love filters in Jira , specially the complex queries are so great to pull the required results which in turn helps a lot in reporting. Jira - all in all the best bug management tool

Jira has been a saviour, the features like bug tracking, notifications , watch option, addons like tempo , xray are all what you need to manage your whole agile process. You can track the complete sprint progress with dashboard. Filtering is great too here. Theres nothing that this tool is missing.

It does the job, but the performance is too bad

Easily the best

Jira has been my go to software for almost all the agile projects I have worked on. The readily available scrum and kanban templates makes it more easier. JQL works like charm. The only suggestion would be to integrate devops pipeline like AzureDevops tool does.

The best part of JIRA is sprint planning, kannan board view of tickets, configuring workflow of different type of tickets, grabbing metrics of the completed sprints. JIRA is very easy to use, highly customisable.

What do you dislike about Jira?

The kanban board view can be improved. We should be able to open a ticket in the new tab from kanban view. Improve integration with SSO in enterprise edition

Awesome tool to track issue's and development tasks

We used JIRA Software to create tickets for all the development activities either a new requirement or if any issue in the release of our product. It helps in maintaining track of all the production issue and we can also create sub tasks under one JIRA task. Also we can track the time spent on a particular task by logging the hours spent on the same.

Good software but expensive

Jira cloud has many good features.some of the others are embedded and some do not work so well.notification for issue collector doesn't always work. You cannot customize the format of issue collector.

Its a great tool for change management and bug tracking

Jira we like it a lot for its good ability to customize gantt boards, with which we can keep good track of the progress of our projects. We like your view of metrics, since it allows you to order them according to parameters that we ourselves decide to create. It has an excellent integration with jira software cloud, with which it is easy to import roadmaps, which can be connected to the entire work team with just a couple of clicks.

What do you dislike about Jira?

We are annoyed by your manager of agile methodologies, since this limits the access that the team has to the work reports, and they do not gather enough performance information. We do not like your system based on kanban, pesto boards that are not flexible, and do not offer enough visibility. Another problem with jira is its integration with the zephyr platform, which is quite slow.

One thing is sure that if you gain expertise in operating JIra and you don’t require any other help. It alone will handle all the tasks. But the catch is learning it is a very though.
