Choose Projects from the Quick Launch. Click New on the Projects tab, select Enterprise Project, or pick an enterprise project template tailored to your company. Enter the details in the Name, Description, and Start Date boxes on the following screen, then click Finish.

What do you like best about Microsoft Project?
Task scheduling based on deadlines or individual requirements. Assignment of a cooperative task and gathering feedback. Numerous reports and online road maps aid in project evaluation. To increase the capability of the product, employ readily available apps from the SharePoint Store and MS Office Store, such as Custom Dashboards.
What do you dislike about Microsoft Project?
Project Progress Calculation Using Custom Fields (which are used to measure Task Progress on Special Performance Criteria). CSOM and JSOM customization made easier, not restricting support to the features included in the box.

Very Simple Microsoft Project Review
Microsoft Project, as far as I am concerned, I am still happy practicing this software to run and manage all of our collaborative projects. Moreover, Microsoft Project is indeed useful for everyone, especially for tracking and completing our projects on time. Microsoft Project has significantly increased our efficiency in planning, executing, and other related aspects of a project.

What do you like best about Microsoft Project?
Microsoft Project is the principal software, especially in the Project Management department. I have used it for a few years, which gave me a strong point now that it lets me input everything I intend to track, accomplish projects, and monitor. Microsoft Project incorporates all of the principles of project management: work breakdown structure, critical path, leads, and lags. Furthermore, cost management is also a useful feature, letting us monitor outlays in detail or at a quick glance to get the present status.
What do you dislike about Microsoft Project?
In Microsoft Project, the learning curve is elongated and steep. I think Microsoft Project needs proper teaching to be skilled in how to use it at full capacity. MS Project is not much better, especially for collaborative functioning if other members of the team or group have not received proper training. Furthermore, it is related to a company’s particular issue where team members are incorporated into projects and data input but are not necessarily experts in project management. The majority of individuals acquire the elementary skills but miss the prospect to benefit sufficiently. Microsoft Project is also expensive because it requires an additional license to the Office suite.

Project Planning & Scheduling, Project Percent Complete Tracking, Reporting & Project Tracking, Time and Expense Track, Issue Management Tracking, Collaboration Tools, Billing & Invoicing and Customizable Templates are superb tools that increase attraction to use this software for projects management.

Primavera, Planner, and Smartsheet software have been used in projects that have likely the same usages as Microsoft Project with small added features.
