A warm welcome from SoftwareSuggest, Mr. Rohit. Our readers are keen to know what prompted you to create OneHash? Tell us about your journey so far.  

These days SaaS has become too expensive for SMBs to afford it. We want to bring Applications & Tools to the SMBs, which are otherwise only accessible for large enterprises. To rectify this issue and enable SMBs to go global, the concept of FaaS came into existence – An amalgamation of FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) and SaaS (Software as a Service).

FaaS stands for FOSS as a service and is a robust SaaS solution that is available to all industry types at the prices of FOSS. Every industry, no matter how big or small, should get a global platform to compete with its peers from across the globe, and OneHash makes sure that lack of affordability never becomes a reason for any company to go global.

Just as any new technology is equally likely to thrive as to fail, OneHash has never seen the face of failure from its beginnings. With a concept so unique, within a span of 6 months, OneHash has managed a huge client base of more than 1000 customers and has proved that customers never run behind the brand; they run behind the product.

What is your success mantra? Something you have followed personally that has helped you in your journey.

There is no specific success mantra I would like to share with you. Every startup has a different set of challenges and hurdles to overcome, and the ones that are able to stand the test of time emerge victoriously. 

There is one thing that I would like to share with you is, no matter how hard it gets, never stop working. Consistency is the key to overcoming all challenges. It surely seems impossible sometimes, and you are at the verge of giving up, but just remember bad times are always followed by good ones and never stop hustling. 

Can we get a sneak peek at the work culture at OneHash?               

We have a team of 15+ members; coincidentally, most of them are engineers. Young minds are always ready to think out of the box and bring something new to the table. As we are a startup, we are failing and learning at the same time; hence we always hold and boost each other in the lows of any member. 

Tell us about the biggest learning you have gained from your journey so far.

Avoid procrastination as much as you can. You will have a lot of ideas about a lot of things but most of them are never executed due to procrastination and lack of implementation. 

How has Covid-19 impacted your business, and what is your strategy moving forward in the new-normal?                 

When the pandemic hit us, a lot of companies struggled to survive in the market due to a lack of proper infrastructure and facilities. Everything from education to trade shifted to the online mode, and accessibility to solutions and software that were robust, agile yet affordable became a dire necessity. Hence Covid-19 gave us a platform to make our product accessible to more and more startups and SMBs.

Where do you see OneHash in the next five years? How do you strategize for the same?

In the next 5 years we see OneHash as an SMB empowering customer relationship management tool with customers in all the seven continents of the world. The only strategy in our mind right now is to hustle hard, find ways to overcome the challenges that come our way, and not give up.

What motivates and strengthens you to keep up with the competition?

The biggest strength and motivation of OneHash is its team; highly motivated individuals who are determined to bring about a change in the existing SaaS market. Another thing that gives us an edge over our competitors is our pricing. An extremely agile CRM solution at such an affordable price is something that we don’t think is available in the market, which helps us precede our competitors.

What advice would you give to young entrepreneurs starting in this field?

The SaaS industry is vast, and the competition is cutthroat, especially after the pandemic. Before starting your business in this field, do your research well about your target audience and competitors. Know your product well and do thorough research about its pros and cons.

Strategize your marketing plans well to create brand awareness in the market. Keep your customers happy, especially when your company is in infancy, so that you can build trust towards your brand and product.

Amazing features at an affordable price

Clean UI, Responsive Support, The amount of features you get and what’s coming on the roadmap is completely worth the price. When you think of the money spent if you paid for all the seperate modules and integrating them this is a steal! Even though the mobile app needs some work it is on their roadmap to update it. It was a little hard to get into setup and understanding how it all works but I was told they are also working on a better tutorial system and documents.
