A must-have software for TDS and TCS returns
I am using the Saral TDS software after a recommendation from a friend of mine. Must say it is an excellent software for eTDS filing which has reduced my stress over missing on any timelines and details. I can access all the information about my previous filings. Single robust package for adding TDS challans, filing returns, rectification of return, downloading form 16, 16a, request a download and updating profile etc. 100% accurate and data exportation can be done to various formats like excel, XML etc. Live support and helpful technical teams make using it a delight.

Overall good for TDS returns
Saral TDS is meant for digital filing of TDS Returns. It includes calculation of tax and generation of certain statutory forms as per the Income-Tax Act 1961 and Income-Tax rules 1962. The software has been validated using FVU (File Validation Utility) developed by NSDL (National Securities Depository Limited). The software interface is fairly simple and user-friendly, built with a Visual Basic at the front-end and MS Access at the backend. There are deductor and deduct masters along with the employee and bank masters in which you can enter relevant information. The applicable tax rates have been given in a separate file. The package lets you export the final TDS to NSDL Utility in the prescribed format, which is required to validate the data entered. Form for entry of challans remittance to the bank is also provided and is fairly exhaustive. The codes of bank branches authorized to collect direct taxes are mentioned in the NSDL website. If you want to do further analysis of data, then Saral gives you the provision of exporting it to MS Excel. Another interesting feature of the package is that it can generate and print TDS Certificates for your employees.

I have been working in a CA FIRM and we have been using Reylon Soft SARAL TDS for more than the past 3 years. Filing can't getter easier than with SARAL TDS. Firstly coming to the UI, it is quite user friendly and comes with all the menus in an easy navigable format . Also a quick access ribbon gets you all the important fields at the click of a button. Talking about functionality it is the swiss knife of TDS software. 100% integrated having features ranging from adding TDS challans, filing returns, rectification of return, downloading form 16, 16a , inputing part b of form 16, direct login to traces, request download,changing profile etc. Coming to reliability its 100% accurate and yes also you can export data to different formats like excel ,XML etc . it auto updates itself whenever there are changes to the traces return preparation utility and immediately you should have an update in a day . proper changelog are also maintained and a database for deductee is maintained which comes handy if u have the same deductee every quarter . live support is available to solve any technical difficulty . all in all a really good package for enterprises to have
