Semrush is the best tool for researching competitors' websites. It has become the number one tool I rely on daily to analyze the market and understand how to improve my marketing campaigns, particularly for search and paid keywords. It is a bit complex to begin with and not cheap, so if you are a startup with a small budget, it is initially hard to justify but worth it. If you put effort into it, you get a lot out of it!

Enormous data sets. The information you gain access to with Semrush is best in class. It has the biggest keyword database available — there are over 21.1 billion keywords in the Keyword Magic tool. Whats more, it has the fastest backlink crawler available, and the largest backlink database, with over 43 trillion links. Wide range of features. Semrush offers more tools in one place than any other platform weve come across. Its comprehensive toolbox includes over 50 tools covering virtually every online marketing channel, including SEO, social media, and PPC. Extensive backlink and keyword metrics. Semrush provides you with all the metrics you could possibly need to evaluate keyword and backlink opportunities. The Keyword Intent metric is especially useful as its something most other tools dont show you. Strong link-building features. Theres a lot to like about Semrush, but its link-building features deserve particular praise. It doesnt just help you identify new link-building opportunities, but also gives you the tools you need to manage and track your entire outreach campaigns.
What do you dislike about Semrush?
Information just covers Google. One of Semrushs greatest disadvantages is that it only gives you information for Google. If you need information from other search engines like Bing or YouTube, you might be better off using another platform.

SEMrush keyword rank tracker is updated more frequently. SEMrush's Keyword Magic Tool is better for keyword research. Serpstat does not offer listing management or social media tools but semrush does. SEMrush has stronger domain traffic analytics.
