MyQ X Description

MyQ X is the print and document management software that understands most people just don't like their office printer. There are lots of activities that are more fun or productive than dealing with that complex and expensive multifunction device. MyQ X enables people to just let it happen: Take care of what you  do best – and MyQ X will respectfully take care of the messy administrative and technical details.

As a universal print management solution, MyQ X optimizes your paper and digital workflows. It simplifies these processes with its personalized user profiles, automated form scanning, and direct scanning to folders, secured links, and the cloud. MyQ X has extensive document processing capabilities which include OCR processing, data redaction, and zone recognition. The three variants of MyQ X are sized to fit user needs -- whether there is a single printer or multi-vendor fleet, on-premise or cloud network, or end users bringing their own mobile devices. These variants are the free Smart, Enterprise, and Ultimate.

MyQ X recognizes that people are highly mobile these days -- and so are their document handling requirements. The MyQ X Mobile Client (iOS & Android) provides for these needs, enabling end users to manage print jobs via their mobile, do secure pull prints, login with QR codes, web uploads, email print, and additional user self-registration options.

About MyQ

MyQ originated from JANUS, the company that introduced Kyocera multifunction printers to the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Along with selling printers, they also developed software that helped businesses better manage and operate their new hardware. 

After realizing the potential of their print management software went beyond that of a single OEM, the development team worked on creating a multivendor product that could serve all. The success of this vision laid out by Martin Janus, CEO of JANUS and later co-founder of MyQ, led to the establishment of MyQ as a separate unit within JANUS in 2007 and its subsequent spinoff as an independent company in 2010.

MyQ X Mobile and BYOD Print

The best part is that you don’t need drivers (or even a dedicated human resource) to print files. All you have to do is send an email attachment to a dedicated email address. Once MyQ X receives your files, you will be sent a pin code to log in and release your documents at any printer in the network.

3- Security

MyQ X provides a wide range of features to enhance the security and privacy of organizations and their users. All communication and data between the user, server, and printer are encrypted using the latest protocols and technologies. In addition, MyQ X can encrypt the entire database containing sensitive user and organizational data.

Besides, you can protect all your electronic documents with a password to prevent unauthorized access. MyQ X also lets you censor personal data during the scanning process using zonal redaction – a feature exclusive to the MyQ X Ultimate license.

With secure print enabled, print jobs will be secured by MyQ until the user authenticates themselves at any print device via MyQ’s embedded terminal or by using the MyQ X mobile application. 

Only after the authentication the print jobs will be released, ensuring the protection of sensitive documents as there will no longer be unattended print jobs lying around on print devices.

MyQ X Security

4- Simplified Accounting and Reporting

MyQ X tracks printer and user activities at the IT admin level, allowing them to review the number of pages printed, scanned and copied by users. In addition, it can recognize and subdivide accounting for individual projects into a tree structure of up to five levels, ensuring you don’t miss anything.

The software is good but needs improvement in printer management within the software rather than just reports i need to view printer status, tonner levels etc

MyQ has improved work greatly in terms of easy mobility of users and no need to connect, register and configure the printer in each location. It has also helped us quickly manage printing jobs and user quota allocation.

Its a good product

I can send all my jobs and collect them at the end of the day at once; shortcuts make using the machines faster and easier. Based on my experience, the system is very stable, but once you need support, you get it promptly

Powerful print management

MyQ has saved us money on paper and toner usage and has made the team more productive with the follow-me printing capabilities. I get regular reports when toner is low, printing utilization with detailed usage reports. User reports give me details of different paper sizes and the difference between mono and color prints with total costs. This enables me to bill departments accurately. The embedded application allows me to create custom scan and copy functions per device or user. MyQ X mobile allows the users to not only print from tablets and phones but can unlock the device, which was very helpful in Covid conditions. I would recommend MyQ for any business, big or small, any day.

Very user friendly with a easy to use interface. Admins can learn to maintain the product with not much training needed.

To be honest I wouldn’t change much on the application but an API for integration would be a big win for me.

I would go with an API to integrate with other applications.

I love the easy scanning

Super easy to use - the best are scanning options (one click is enough to scan directly to email or OneDrive) which can be individually set up per user. Outstanding is also the possibility of a unique design of the printer panel downloadable for free from the MyQ portal. It is pretty helpful to advance security like print after login by car or mobile app, which is also free and allows easy print directly from a mobile phone.
