What is most impressive about Salesforce is virtually anyone can use the basic features by signing up for a free account on Trailhead their learning site and quickly picking up how to build simple solutions and get the solution to be optimized for their business.
What do you dislike about Salesforce?
The product itself is pretty reliable but on occasion it will behave unexpectedly and when you need to reach out to support it can be a long and difficult process to get reliable support to your questions or items you need assistance with as compared to other software vendors.
What features is Salesforce currently missing?
Salesforce itself doesn't have everything built into the product itself so it is common for many customers to purchase add-on products like those that do document generation, e-signature, contract management and other business use cases as although these could be built on Salesforce itself it is more cost effective to purchase a 3rd party solution and integrate so be aware of the total cost of ownership depending on your business needs and the related add-ons you might need to purchase as opposed to other solutions that might have some of these features built into the core product like HubSpot.
What other products like Salesforce have you used or evaluated?
I've utilized multiple CRM softwares and also consult clients on different solutions, the 2nd most popular solution which is increasing in popularity is HubSpot. HubSpot is rapidly building it's capabilities and functionality to compete with Salesforce and generally speaking is at a lower price point per user so is becoming a very competitive option for others to consider to move to instead of Salesforce. Some customers also merge the best of both worlds and use them together like the CMS and Marketing capabilities of HubSpot with the core functionality of Salesforce's CRM so there are many alternatives to explore depending on your business requirements.
